Piping foot No. 38

For machines with 5.5 mm and 9 mm stitch width

The piping foot No. 38 is often referred to as the uneven sewing foot because it has unevenly high undersides. This makes the sewing foot ideal for creating narrow to medium piping and for sewing uneven fabric layers.

The right side of the piping foot #38 is higher, allowing the fabric layers to glide smoothly while sewing. In addition to piping, the foot is also suitable for sewing on thick ribbons, cords, or Velcro fasteners. If the ribbon lies flush against the edge of the thick left foot section under the higher side, the needle can grip the ribbon edge optimally.

This foot is not suitable for BERNINA machines older than 1996.
