Family business since 1947

Thomas Kunze, now in his third generation, has been managing the company since 2006. Kunze AG BERNINA Baden as a specialist retailer for BERNINA and bernette sewing machines with a wide selection of fashionable fabrics, haberdashery, buttons, and ribbons. What began in 1947 with the acquisition of the BERNINA The sewing machine business in Baden, started by grandfather Edwin Kunze, is now a company with two branches in Baden—one in the Stoffgalerie at Bahnhofplatz 7 and a sewing machine competence center at Wettingerstrasse 23.

In addition to advising customers and selling fabrics, haberdashery, sewing machines, and sewing furniture, we also offer sewing courses and have a workshop where Thomas Kunze himself works as a technician in our in-house sewing machine repair service.

In our modern sewing machine workshop, we offer comprehensive service and repair work for all brands of household sewing and overlock machines. As sustainability is important to us, our expertise also extends to sewing machines that are 50 years old and older.

We maintain a high availability of spare parts and, after prior consultation with our workshop, offer fast turnaround times of just two working days, so that tailors can get back to work as quickly as possible.
