The set includes both the right and left edge guides.
The edge guide in the left shaft can be used for overlock, cover stitch, and chain stitch. It is used to follow lines or existing seams on the left side of the presser foot. It is also used to guide fabric strips at equal distances, for example when sewing ribbons.1)
1) Forthe L 850 and L 890 produced before July 2021 (code 61/07), an updated version of the presser foot shaft must be installed to support the seam guide rulers.
