Gathering Foot No. 16, Wide

For machines with a 9mm stitch width
. For machines with a 5.5m stitch width, the No. 16 wide foot can also be used—in which case, allow for more fabric allowance; otherwise, choose the No. 16 narrow foot

Gathering Foot No. 16 is suitable for gathering light to medium-weight fabrics. The fabric is fed unevenly during sewing, which gives it its characteristic gathered appearance.

The special slit in Gathering Foot No. 16 also allows you to sew the gathered fabric directly onto a smooth piece of fabric in a single step.

To do this, slide the smooth fabric into the slit so that it is not gathered along with the gathered fabric. 

This foot is not compatible with BERNINA machines manufactured before 1996.

Purchases on account are processed through our payment service provider, MF Group in St. Gallen. MF Group St. Gallen sends the invoice with a QR code on our behalf. You can pay the full amount—no interest—or make partial payments. For partial payments, at least 10% of the remaining balance is due each month. MF Group charges 13% interest for partial payments. A shipping fee of CHF 2.90 applies to installment payments. Approval or rejection of the order amount is handled automatically by MF Group upon review.

Installment purchases are processed through our payment service provider, Heylight. You can choose the number of installments: 3, 4, 6, 10, 12, or 24. No interest is charged for this option. Approval or rejection of the order amount occurs automatically following a review by Heylight.
